Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the Director of Enterprise Technology will provide internal leadership for the company’s technology environment, supporting 450+ end users across multiple geographic locations.

This role will connect business needs with technology priorities and coordinate initiatives across internal stakeholders, service providers, security advisors, and vendors. The Director will help ensure technology solutions are reliable, secure, practical, and successfully adopted by end users.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the enterprise technology roadmap in partnership with the CTO and business leadership.

• Coordinate technology operations and initiatives across internal teams, service providers, security partners, and vendors.

• Monitor service levels, system performance, recurring issues, and opportunities for improvement.

• Lead technology projects from requirements gathering through implementation, user acceptance, and post-launch review.

• Establish clear project objectives, success criteria, testing requirements, and implementation plans.

• Ensure solutions are evaluated in real-world business conditions before projects are considered complete.

• Consider geographic location, connectivity, latency, security, and user workflows when evaluating and implementing solutions.

• Oversee the effective use of cloud services, Microsoft 365, networking, endpoints, identity and access management, backup, and disaster recovery.

• Support the implementation and ongoing effectiveness of operational security controls.

• Develop practical technology policies and solutions that appropriately balance security, risk, usability, and business requirements.

• Evaluate technology-related business requests and help identify secure, sustainable solutions.

• Maintain appropriate system, vendor, process, and operational documentation.

• Provide the CTO and executive leadership with clear reporting on projects, technology performance, risks, and priorities.

Collaboration

The Director of Enterprise Technology will work closely with the CTO, department leaders, Compliance, technology service providers, and external security advisors.

The role will coordinate with established partners on compliance initiatives, annual risk assessments, security awareness training, and security assessments. The Director will also support the implementation and tracking of related technical recommendations.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading IT operations, enterprise technology, or technology-delivery initiatives.

• Experience working with managed service providers and third-party technology vendors.

• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, Microsoft 365, networking, identity management, endpoint security, backup, and disaster recovery.

• Experience leading requirements gathering, testing, implementation, user acceptance, and organizational adoption.

• Experience supporting geographically distributed teams.

• Strong business judgment and the ability to balance technology, security, risk, and operational needs.

• Excellent project leadership, vendor-management, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Relevant technology, security, or project-management certifications are preferred.
