About the role

We are building a dedicated quality function for a high-impact operational technology team. This is one of two foundational QA positions, working alongside a Senior QA Engineer to build test coverage, automation, and QA processes from the ground up.

This is a hybrid manual and automation QA role. You will manually validate features before release, execute regression testing, document results, and help automate repeatable test cases as the QA function matures.

You'll work across Salesforce, AI-assisted workflows, and backend services, with responsibilities spanning manual testing, test case development, automation, and business workflow documentation.

This is a build environment where systems, processes, and QA practices are still evolving. You should be comfortable working with ambiguity and helping establish more structured processes over time.

What You'll Do

• Write and execute test cases across the internal product portfolio.

• Perform smoke, happy path, and regression testing based on release priorities.

• Perform manual and automated testing in Salesforce sandbox environments and support production validation.

• Support regression testing cycles ahead of releases.

• Investigate bugs and defects by reproducing, documenting, and tracking them through resolution.

• Identify recurring defect patterns and flag areas that require additional testing or attention.

Automation

• Support and maintain automated test runs, including scheduled/nightly checks where appropriate.

• Contribute automation scripts and help maintain the automation framework established by the Senior QA Engineer.

• Identify repeatable manual tests that can be converted into automated coverage.

• Help expand automated test coverage as the QA function matures.

Documentation & Release Support

• Support release readiness by executing regression plans and clearly documenting test results.

• Document defects, open issues, and remaining release risks.

• Create clear, accessible test documentation and business workflow documentation.

• Help ensure product, development, and operations teams have visibility into testing status and release risks.

Collaboration

• Work with operations team leads to understand how business users actually use the systems being tested.

• Collaborate closely with developers, product, and the Senior QA Engineer.

• Communicate issues clearly and provide enough detail for developers to reproduce and resolve them.

• Help build consistent QA processes and standards as the function develops.

What We're Looking For

• 2–4 years of QA experience with exposure to both manual and automated testing.

• Salesforce experience, including sandbox-based testing and production validation support.

• Hands-on experience writing automation scripts, with flexibility around language and framework.

• Strong test case writing skills with an emphasis on clear, thorough, and reproducible test cases.

• Basic SQL skills for data validation.

• Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.

• Comfortable working in .NET-adjacent environments.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently identify and document issues.

• Good communication skills with the ability to work directly with developers, product, and operations teams.

• Comfortable working in an environment where processes and systems are still being developed.

Preferred

• Experience with API testing, including REST and/or SOAP.

• Experience with healthcare RCM, medical billing, or complex operational workflows.

• Experience working with multiple system integrations.

• Experience contributing to or maintaining test automation frameworks.

• Exposure to AI-assisted workflows or testing AI-generated outputs.
