Position Details
We are building a dedicated quality function for a high-impact operational technology team. This is a foundational QA role where you will help establish testing processes, automation frameworks, and release standards from the ground up.
You'll work across .NET-based systems, Salesforce, and AI-assisted workflows, including Salesforce sandbox environments, production validation workflows, backend services, and AI-generated outputs where accuracy and consistency are critical.
This is a hybrid manual and automation QA role. Initially, the role will involve significant hands-on manual testing, workflow validation, and release-readiness checks while the automation framework is being established. Over time, the focus will shift toward increasing automated coverage and reducing manual release testing.
The goal is not simply to find bugs, but to build a structured QA process that prevents them through automation, regression coverage, release gates, and clear release-readiness standards.
What You'll Do
Own test strategy and test case development across internal products and systems.
Design and maintain smoke, happy path, regression, and release-readiness testing.
Perform manual and automated testing across Salesforce, .NET services, production workflows, and AI-generated outputs.
Build and maintain automated test runs, including scheduled/nightly testing where appropriate.
Develop automation frameworks from the ground up.
Map test coverage to documented end-to-end business workflows.
Automation & Release Quality
Convert repeatable manual tests into automated coverage.
Define and enforce release gates in partnership with developers and the Technical Lead.
Provide QA sign-off recommendations for releases and clearly communicate risks when coverage is incomplete.
Establish structured QA workflows with clear test cases, ownership, and sign-off criteria.
Help move release testing from ad-hoc management review into a repeatable QA process.
Production & Collaboration
Work directly with operations leads to understand how workflows function and where they break in practice.
Investigate production issues, identify root causes, document findings, and drive follow-up actions to prevent recurrence.
Collaborate closely with developers, product, and operations teams.
Mentor and provide technical direction to the QA Engineer on the team.
Help establish a proactive quality culture where issues are identified before reaching business users.
What We're Looking For
5+ years of QA engineering experience with both manual and automated testing.
Strong experience with Salesforce, including sandbox testing and production validation.
Experience with API testing, including REST and/or SOAP.
Strong SQL skills for validating data across system integrations.
Experience with Git or other version control systems.
Demonstrated experience building test automation frameworks from scratch.
Ability to create clear, thorough test documentation for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong communication skills with developers, product teams, and operations leaders.
Comfortable working independently without a mature QA playbook.
Preferred
Experience testing AI/ML outputs, particularly non-deterministic systems.
Familiarity with .NET-based environments.
Experience with healthcare RCM, medical billing, or complex operational workflows.
Experience working with multiple system integrations.
Experience establishing QA processes and automation in a growing technology organization.
